DRY ICE BLASTING TECHNIQUES

INTRODUCTION TO DRY ICE BLASTING TECHNIQUES

The DIB is a technique using solid Co2 ice with minus 70 to 80 degrees Centigrade to blast/remove stubborn stains/ deposits/ dirt from a targeted surface. The physical impact of the dry ice pellets come into contact with the targeted surface at high speed, physically knocking off the dirt of the surface. This process dislodges unwanted material from the substrates and cleans immediately and no residue is left on the surface.

Science and benefits of DIB

We append below the science and benefits of DIB and why your operations should consider this niche services :
DIB isn’t magic but simply effective and it’s been a proven technology for commercial industrial cleaning circle. It’s multiple applications in the full spectrum of most industries are widely valued and appreciated as the benefits outweigh the traditional and conventional ways of cleaning.
DIB is used to remove the unwanted deposits like carbon deposits, soldering splatters, stubborn stains, dirt, grimes, grease, adhesives splatters and restricted/difficult to reach edges/corners. We are permitted/ licensed by the authorities to work in confined /enclosed spaces like Temperature Drying Ovens, shore tanks, cylindrical vessels and many challenging tasks where our clients are unable to perform.
Less downtime for shutdown maintenance operations and ready to be back in full operation.
Environmentally friendly and is non-hazardous unlike industrial chemicals or solvents are being used in conventional cleaning operation where many tasks like washing thoroughly with water jets and await to be dried up prior to installation / operation with longer time used.
It is non-abrasive thus ensuring a longer span of the machines/equipment/plants.
Where all industries including SMEs feared the most : major disruption to operations. This DIB technology when in use it is non-flammable, non-abrasive, non-contamination and environmentally friendly.

Our Projects

The projects we have worked or specifically the machines/equipment/plants we have successfully performed and delivered to our clients are as follows:
Heat exchangers are indispensable components in wide industries that require efficient temperature regulation and energy conservation. Its requires regular maintenance to ensure smooth running of the factories like Oil & Gas, food, dairy, beverage, palm oil & oleo, cosmetics and many others. This DIB technology is used to clean the internal tubes (internal diameters or less than 15 mm) of the heat exchangers and we inspect the cleanliness internally using an endoscope to examine.
Many industries use temperature drying ovens for their operations. In view of the restricted /confined spaces for conventional cleaning, DIB is the only ALTERNATIVE to ensure cleanliness as some industries will be sensitive to any remnants left behind and will affect their production and damage the finished products.
Food and beverage industries will be too cautious & sensitive NOT to use industrial chemicals or solvents fearing products liability claims or product recalls resulting in business contingency plans being activated from a major operational disruption.
Paper mills need to continuously maintain and ensure their rollers have a certain roughness on surfaces for smooth running and operation to prevent the end product paper rolls being consistent all round. This DIB is to blast the surface to a certain roughness level by using a Mitutoya kit to measure the desired surface roughness specified by the client.
Overall, DIB technology is indeed versatile and major industry captains should embrace it for their operation
